If someone try's to rob you in the night, You grab a weapon and attack them to try force them to leave and to just simply defend yourself and others. Is it okk to cause a excessive amount of damage that may cause death, even if if your intentions were to just simply stop them?

Okay jump out the window and go unlock the front door.(Go back in the house). While the robber still somewhere in ur house. So you have the upperchance to get him, and u can get object as weapon.

If the robber is on your property you have the right to kill them (part of the law). If someone tries to rob you outside your home and you injure them with a weapon but their unarmed you can go to jail.
